Playwriting Opportunities
Neurodivergent Plays has re-opened submissions for full-length plays for openly neurodivergent playwrights interested in submitting for future performances!
All submissions should be for full-length plays between 45 to 180 minutes long and may have received a previous reading or production outside of NYC, as long as they are unpublished. Plays can be of any genre, although we are especially seeking works that challenge traditional methods of storytelling & have something important to say about the world that isn’t being heard enough.
All playwrights who submit MUST openly identify as neurodivergent/disabled. (i.e. autistic, ADHD, OCD, dyslexia, Tourette’s, etc.) Playwrights at all stages of their careers are encouraged to apply - especially BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and female-identifying writers. There is no submission fee or any other fee for being involved in this process, and all selected playwrights will receive a modest stipend.
We kindly ask that you submit only one play every 30 days during our recurring submissions process. If one of our Resident Directors is interested in your work, we will reach out via email.
Submit your work today by visiting the link in our Instagram bio, or going to https://form.jotform.com/223378604825057
